For over twelve years I have been helping people understand the problems they face with their dog in everyday life – and solve them for good. What grows out of that is calm, reliability and a more relaxed life together. What still drives me today is the change that comes with it: people gain confidence, dogs gain orientation – and both can enjoy their days together again.

Before I became a dog trainer, I played ice hockey in Switzerland's top league. That is where I learned to build performance step by step, to analyse mistakes precisely, to think in terms of results and to work towards a goal without letting up. That mindset shapes my work to this day.
The decisive turning point on my way to becoming a dog trainer was Zasko, my two-year-old German shepherd. He barked non-stop in the car, pulled hard on the lead, could not be recalled reliably at all, chased and attacked other dogs. The dog of my dreams first became a challenge I had no adequate answers to.
Zasko was the reason I went deep into dog behaviour, communication and how reliable leadership is built. I did not want to influence behaviour just for the moment – I wanted to understand how lasting reliability and orientation come about.
Out of that experience, a clearly structured training concept took shape over many years. Today I pass that knowledge on to people who no longer want to manage one situation after another with their dog, but want to change something fundamentally.

Your dog's reliability starts with you. It grows when you are willing to work on yourself and your own skills, to communicate in a way your dog understands, and to keep the agreements you make instead of only demanding them from him.
That is why I bring three areas together: mindset, communication and technique. Only when they interlock does the kind of clear leadership emerge that your dog can orient himself by, even under distraction.
I do not work with food rewards. Food can influence behaviour, but the work usually stays on the surface. Reliability, and a dog who orients himself by his person, come from clarity, communication he understands, and actions you follow through on.
What I am aiming for is a natural relationship in which clarity, trust and responsibility belong together. Life with your dog should not merely work – it should be a pleasure, and enrich both of you.

My concept grew out of daily work with a very wide range of dog-and-owner teams. Over many years it has been tested in practice, developed further and refined down to the detail.
I cannot do the work for you. But I will show you clearly what you need to work on, how to build it properly, and which step comes next.
You are ready to work not only on your dog's behaviour, but on your own attitude and the way you act. You value straight feedback, apply what you learn consistently in everyday life, and take responsibility for the progress the two of you make together.
Now you know how I work and why. Whether that fits the two of you is quickest to find out in a conversation. In the free consultation, someone from my team takes the time for your situation, your biggest challenges and your goals. You get an honest assessment of what it will take for the two of you – and you decide afterwards, in your own time.
