Dog training with a system

The dog
off the leash.

The art of guiding your dog safely and freely.

A dog who orients himself towards you – without treats and without short-term tricks. My clearly structured concept shows you how to communicate understandably, act with commitment and build reliability step by step – in everyday life and under distraction too.

Sound familiar?

You have already tried a lot.
And it is still hard work.

  • Your dog pulls hard on the leash – every walk becomes a battle of strength.
  • The recall works – but only without distraction.
  • Encounters with other dogs are tense or escalate.
  • Things never settle at home. Being left alone is an issue.
  • You don't know when to be friendly – and when to be firm.

This is not your fault. And it is not your dog's fault either. You are not missing another tip. You are missing a system.

Training with Marc Welti
The concept

Three pillars that build on each other

Training works when the right knowledge is applied consistently in practice. That is why I always work in the same order.

01

Mindset

Your clarity, your role, your behaviour. Your dog orients himself towards what you do consistently. Real change starts with you.

02

Communication

Words, tone of voice, emotions and body language. Unambiguous signals create orientation and make sure your dog knows where he stands.

03

Craft

The concrete training sequence: leash walking, recall, dog encounters, staying home alone – step by step and in real everyday life.

Services

What your training consists of

No two dog-and-owner teams are alike – which is why I don't sell packages off the shelf. In the free consultation, someone from my team puts together, from these building blocks, whatever fits your situation.

Private Training

One to one with me and focused entirely on your specific issue. I look at how you are putting it into practice, correct the details that matter and show you the next steps for training at home.

Group Training

Under controlled distraction and close to other dogs, it shows whether your agreements really hold. You gain confidence and routine for demanding everyday situations.

Your Dog in Training with Me

I take over the intensive training of your dog and work specifically on the issues that matter. At the same time I show you how to take on what we have built and carry it on consistently in everyday life.

The Member Area

The entire training concept in clearly structured video lessons. You learn step by step what matters, can revisit any lesson at any time and put what you have learned straight into practice with your dog.

Weekly Live Calls

Every week you can go through your questions directly with me. You get concrete answers on your current situation and know afterwards what to work on next with your dog.

The Digital Training Companion

Your personal training plan with progress tracking, weekly goals and the next steps. You can see at any time where you stand, what is already working and what the two of you will work on next.

Which building blocks you need and how intensive the support should be, we decide together with you in a free consultation.

What clients write

“What is the use of my dog knowing a thousand commands if she loses it on the leash every time she sees another dog? … With a clear plan we knew every day what to do, without setting aside extra time for training. The results were visible quickly.”

Nicole Sibold

“The hurdle we could not get over in two years of dog school with a clicker and rewards, we discussed, analysed and solved within a single lesson.”

Dome Meier

“We had already tried several dog schools and private lessons before, but were often frustrated and at our limit. … The weekly Zoom calls are particularly helpful: questions are answered directly, and the exchange means you never feel left alone.”

Jaqueline Schneider

“When we came to Marc with our dog Jax, walking calmly past another dog was practically unthinkable. … What convinced us most is that Marc works without treats and relies instead on clear communication and a relationship of trust between dog and owner.”

Katja Wüthrich

“At the beginning we were a little sceptical about how this was supposed to work entirely without food rewards. … In the past it would have been unthinkable for our dog to concentrate with 20 to 30 other dogs around. Today, thanks to the training, he can sit down calmly in large groups, wait and be recalled.”

Fabia Canonica

“The best decision I could have made for my 14-month-old uncastrated male. Worth every penny. … The owner is given every tool needed to guide their dog for a lifetime. … The dog school that is a bit different – one that educates rather than drills.”

Jana Mueller

“During the mandatory young dog course we noticed that our dog was more interested in the other dogs than in the exercises. It went so far that the treats were ignored. … By now our walks are far more relaxed than they used to be.”

Christoph Leu

“I have been training with Marc Welti with my Kelpie since he was 12 weeks old. … The training is logical and easy to follow, problems are treated at the root and solved with a great deal of empathy and yet with clarity.”

Barbara Luchsinger

“With him it is never just about ‘sit’ or ‘down’, but about attitude, energy, clarity and taking responsibility. … I particularly value his non-judgemental manner. You never feel corrected or belittled, but encouraged, seen and taken seriously.”

Giulia Würsch

“An empathetic, clearly structured and fair dog trainer. That is reflected in his logical training programme, which suits how dogs actually are. … When it comes to setting boundaries I personally learned a great deal, and Wilma benefited accordingly.”

Magdalena Jäger

“Marc is absolutely competent, clear and consistent in his explanations, and always respectful, never dismissive. … The price is absolutely worth the quality of the training and the personal support.”

Honestly

My approach is not for everyone.

It’s a good fit if you …

  • want a dog that follows you reliably off the lead.
  • want to work without treats or short-term tricks.
  • want to work on yourself, not just on your dog.
  • value clarity and apply rules consistently.
  • value clear communication and honest feedback.

It’s probably not for you if you …

  • want to keep working with food and rewards.
  • only enforce rules when it suits you.
  • want to try a new method every week.
  • aren’t ready to question your own habits.
  • expect change without changing yourself.

What matters isn’t how much experience you bring. What matters is whether you’re ready to put it into practice. The free consultation will show whether it’s a fit.

Next step

Find out
which path fits the two of you.

You do not have to know which path is the right one. That is exactly what we work out together. In the free consultation, someone from my team takes the time for your situation, your biggest challenges and your goals. You get an honest assessment of what it will take for the two of you – and you decide afterwards, in your own time.
